Phil’s very first pīwakawaka design (nicknamed “A fan of DIY”) the idea of the fantail on a hammer was multifaceted. Aotearoa is small but mighty, pragmatic and creative, finding fixes and unconventional solutions, a number 8 wire mentality that’s been passed down and refined over generations. It’s integral, sitting at the core of who we are: Our willingness to courageously wade into the fray no matter the size of the problem, to repair what’s broken.

Install Tip: Hold the pīwakawaka firmly in one hand while tapping your hammer onto the flat surface end of the branch. If installing into a post, you may need to pre-drill a hole first before installing.
